I do not process health insurance for clients; however, I do offer a limited sliding scale fee that is based on household income.
I can provide a receipt or “super-bill” at the end of each month for those who wish to submit independently for reimbursement.
Few therapists take insurance because the reimbursement rates are so low for the therapists, it is not sustainable.

Finding the right therapist can be a complex and challenging process. With different letters, designations, etc. it is easy to become a bit confused and overwhelmed.
As you research your therapy options to find the right therapist for your needs, it is important to consider factors such as therapist licensure status, number of client hours, in addition to areas of expertise, specialties, and modalities offered. All of these factors will influence the therapist fee.
Interns are typically masters level graduate students pursuing training for degrees in marriage and family therapy, counseling, etc.
(T) licenses are temporary licenses for therapists in training who have graduated from their master’s program but are under supervision while fulfilling the requirements for licensure in the state of Tennessee.
Licensed therapists (LMFT/LPC-MHSP/LCSW) are therapists who have completed their graduate programs and who have fulfilled all of the requirements for licensure enabling them to be fully licensed in the state of Tennessee.
Coaches/pastoral counselors often attain certain certifications, but most have little advanced clinical graduate training or licensure requirements from the state of Tennessee. They also have limited oversight regarding clinical expertise or ethical practices.
Expertise in the therapy profession is most often developed through a combination of eduction, years in the profession, and the number of clinical hours with clients. Specific certifications in techniques or modalities, such as EMDR, Brainspotting, EFT, etc. will also increase qualifications and expertise.
I have been working as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist for twenty years and have approximately 29,000 clinical hours. I have been honored to work with many high-performing clients in both the business and entertainment industries who are results- oriented.
