For unto us a Child is born,

Unto us a Son is given;

And the government will be upon His shoulder.

And His name will be called

Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God,

Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.

Of the increase of His government and peace

There will be no end,

Upon the throne of David and over His kingdom,

To order it and establish it with judgment and justice

From that time forward, even forever.

The zeal of the Lord of hosts will perform this.

Isaiah 9:6-7New King James Version (NKJV)

In the midst of the chaos, in the midst of the hurried rush, in the midst of my broken, bruised places, my long-forgotten hopes and dreams, there was a child born who changed everything!

He changed my heart. He changed my life. He gave me hope. He gave me peace.  He brought meaning to the mundane, joy to the joyless, terrible places inside.  HE SAVED ME from the grip of satan’s death— in truth, He saved me from myself.  And that, my friend, is reason to celebrate!

My prayer for each of us this season is that we will have a moment to “be still and know,” to call out to Him, to know Him, to be with Him. This year, may we all lean in a little bit more to Him and experience more of his presence, His momentous love, His enduring hope, His perfect peace in our lives. Blessings abundant to each of you!

Merry Christmas!
